Towards the north of Mumbai, in the district of Thane lies
the seaside town of Bordi. Bordi is a small town well known
for boarding schools. Far way from the hullabaloo of the city
life, this town is a quiet sea resort. Bordi is very well
known for the chickoo and other fruits orchards.
Bordi is very famous because of its rich history. Bordi was
the one of the areas where the Iranis settled in India.

Dahanu-Bordi Beach
This sea beach of Dahanu-Bordi is very clean and serene.
One of the important features of the beach is that it is extremely
uncluttered. The beach extends to over 17 kilometers.
Udvada
In a small distance from Bordi lies Udvada. Udvada is famously
known as the “Mecca of Zoroastrians”. Udvada houses
a flame, which was brought by the Irani settlers to India.
This flame has been burning for thousand of years. Parsis
often visit Udvada to take blessings from the Holy fire.

By Rail, the nearest railhead is Gholwad, 2 kms.
By Road, Mumbai is 145 kms from Bordi. Dahanu is also 15
kilometers from Bordi.
