CBI registers case against four LIC officials and five agents for fraudulently diverting premia of MCD employees to the policy account of others

CBI today carried out searches at ten places in Delhi after registering a case against five LIC Agents and four officials of the Life Insurance Corporation of India Branch at Khan Market, New Delhi for fraudulently diverting the insurance remittances of MCD employees into the fresh policies of other policy holders. CBI had the information that the MCD, Delhi was sending remittances of insurance premium of their employees holding LIC Policy under the salary saving scheme through these LIC Agents, who in criminal conspiracy with the officials of the Insurance Company did not deliberately adjust such remittances against the policy of MCD employees but instead these remittances were adjusted against fresh policies of other policy holders. During the search of the residential and office premises, several incriminating documents and cash were recovered. The documents are under scrutiny and further investigation in the matter is on.
