“Village on Wheels”, common man’s Palace on Wheels train, announced in the Railway Budget 2004-2005, will start criss-crossing the country by the end of October 2004.
“Village on Wheels” will have all sleeper class rake and run from end to end to promote tourism and national integration.
Hospitality services on the “Village on Wheels” train will be provided through local agent, who will arrange transportation for passengers for site seeing and meals. The meals will include breakfast, lunch, evening tea, snacks and dinner.
Journey by the “Village on Wheels” train will be hassle-free. The tariff will be all inclusive. The service provider will take care of passengers.
