National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO), a public sector unit of the Ministry of Mines, has earned a profit after tax of Rs.79.54 crore against a target of Rs.57.91 crore during August, 2004. Its profit before tax during the month was Rs.124.03 crore against the target of Rs.90.30 crore. Company's gross sale crossed the target of Rs.322.14 crore and reached Rs.328.11 crore during the month. Its gross margin in the month was Rs.166.74 crore against the target of Rs.137.11 crore. During the month, NALCO's bauxite production at 360,825 tonnes was more than the monthly target of 335,000 tonnes.
