The Human Resource Development Minister Shri Arjun Singh has congratulated the scientists and engineers of Department of Space, ISRO and other organizations for the successful launch of GSLV-F01 and putting into orbit the country’s first satellite dedicated to education – EDUSAT. In a message he expressed confidence that our institutions, teachers and students will make use of the opportunities to be provided through this satellite.
The following is the text of the message:
“I was glad to hear that the first orbit raising manoeuvre of EDUSAT, the country’s satellite for educational services was successfully carried out by the ISRO team, of whom all of us are proud.
The very fact that a dedicated satellite has been put in space for educational purposes symbolizes a national resolve to spread learning across the length and breadth of this country. I am confident that our institutions, teachers and students will seize this unique opportunity for their own benefit.”
