The Government has nominated Dr. Karan Singh as the new Chairman of Governing Board of the Auroville Foundation for a period of 4 years. He replaces Shri Kireet Joshi. The other members of the revamped Board are Dr. D.P Chattopadhyay, Shri Ajoy Bagchi, Dr. (Mrs) Aster Mira Patel, Shri Roger Anger, Ms. Malini Parthasarthy and Ms. Mallika Sarabhai. Shri S.K Ray and Shri C. Balakrishnan both Joint Secretaries in the Department of Secondary and Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development will be Ex-officio Members
