Minister for Parliamentary Affairs & Urban Development, Shri Ghulam Nabi Azad has expressed shock & grief over the sudden demise of Dr. Raja Ramanna. In his condolence message, Shri Azad said that India has lost one of its outstanding scientist as Dr. Ramanna’s contribution to India’s nuclear science programme was unparalleled.
Dr. Ramanna as the member of Rajya Sabha actively participated and guided discussions related to various issues of national concern and his performance as Minister of State for Defence was quite distinguished, he has stated in his message. With his death, the country has lost a visionary and a distinguished citizen, the Minister added.
Shri Azad expressed hope that Almighty will give strength and courage to Dr. Ramanna’s family to bear this loss.
