The Territorial Army celebrated its 56th anniversary on 09 Oct 2005. As a part of its celebrations a delegation of approximately 100 persons of Territorial Army visited Rashtrapati Bhawan on 03 Oct 2005 and met President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. The President lauded the efforts of this noble force and conveyed his best wishes. In an another event 10 distinguished officers of Territorial Army were given TA decorations in an august gathering at Army HQ on 06 Oct 2005 by the Vice Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen S Pattbhiraman, who in his address once again reiterated the goodwork done by this elite force. A gallery of Photographs depicting ‘TA through the ages’ was also on display commemorating the occasion.
