All flights were operating in their normal schedule in most Airports across the country today. The status report as of 1500 hrs today is as below:-
In Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi, out of 68 scheduled domestic departures, 54 operated, 8 flights were cancelled, four rescheduled and two flights were clubbed. Out of 42 arrivals, 33 flights landed on time, three were delayed, one was clubbed and five cancelled. At terminal II, from midnight to 1400 hrs., out of 35 scheduled departures, 33 operated normal. There were 24 scheduled and one non-scheduled arrival. Out of the 16 domestic arrivals, 12 arrived, two were cancelled and one clubbed. Attendance of staff at the Airport was low, however, 38 out of 48 fire personnel were on duty. Air-conditioning system, FIDs and other services were functioning normally except house keeping which was badly affected.
In the Mumbai Airport all flights have been reported to be normal. Since 0700 hrs a total of 57 departures and 51 arrivals of scheduled flights had taken place up to 1400 hrs.
In Chennai all flights were operating normally. Thirty-two domestic departures and 32 arrivals and 10 international departures and 12 arrival had taken place. AAI executives with support of IAF were manning fire services. The Airport was functioning normally.
Kolkata Airport has been affected by the strike called by the AAI Unions. One IAC flight each from Delhi and Mumbai arrived and departed back. Most flights to Kolkata had been cancelled by the respective airlines.
Scheduled operations from Airports in Trivandrum, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calicut, Hyderabad, Cochin, Jaipur, Guwahati, Goa, Lucknow, Jammu and Varanasi and other Airports in the different regions have been reported to be normal.
