The Vice President, Shri Bhairon Singh Shekhawat has greeted the countrymen on the auspicious occasion of Durgapuja, which is being celebrated with traditional gaiety and religious fervour all over the country.
In a message, the Vice-President said that Goddess Durga, the immortal and celestial embodiment Shakti, who annihilated the demonic forces, symbolises the victory of good over evil for the welfare of humanity. This festival gives us inspiration to follow the path of righteousness, he added.
May the great festival dispel the forces of evil and bring harmony, peace and prosperity in our lives, he added.
