Foreign tourist arrivals in the country till September this year has registered an increase of 15.2%. During the period 2641607 foreign tourists visited the country while the number was 2293297 during the corresponding period of last year. Foreign exchange earnings, in rupees term, also recorded the growth of 20.6% during January-September, 05. A total earnings during the period was Rs. 18379.27 crore.
