The Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh met the President, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam at Rashtrapati Bhavan today. The meeting lasted about 30 minutes. This was part of regular interaction between the two leaders.
The Prime Minister also briefed the President on his bilateral visit to France beginning tomorrow and later to New York to attend the UN Millennium Development Summit and his meetings with the world leaders on the sideline of the summit there. The talks with the Prime Minister of the UK, Mr. Tony Blair and the European Union delegation during this week’s India-EU Summit in New Delhi also figured during the discussion.
