Ministry of Environment & Forests has called for objections or suggestions from public on the proposals contained in the draft Environment Impact Assessment Notification dated 15.9.2005. Those who are interested may send their objections/suggestions within 60 days from the date of publication of this notification in the official gazette (15.9.2005), to Secretary, Ministry of Environment & Forests, Paryavaran Bhawan, CGO Complex, Lodhi Road, New Delhi – 110003 or email to secymenf@nic.in.
This notification dated 15.9.2005 proposes to impose certain restrictions on new projects and activities and on expansion & modernization of existing projects and activities undertaken in any part of India unless prior environmental clearance has been accorded in accordance with the procedure specified in this notification. The notification has also been put on Ministry’s website (http://www.envfor.nic.in).
