Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) today approved the construction of 660 kms long product pipeline by Oil India Limited from Numaligarh to Siliguri, at an estimated cost of Rs.468.92 crores.
The pipeline would ensure efficient and uninterrupted evacuation of Numaligarh Refinery Ltd.’s (NRL’s) surplus products to Siliguri and help NRL to fully utilize its capacity. The savings in terms of freight and enhanced capacity utilization are expected to substantially improve the profitability of NRL.
