The Government has declared the North-Eastern Institute of Science and Technology, Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh as Deemed to be University with immediate effect. The declaration has been made in exercise of the powers conferred by Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956, Government of India, Ministry of Human Resource Development.
The Institute shall award certificate, diploma and degree from the academic session 2005-2006.
