The Mineral Exploration Corporation Limited (MECL), a public sector unit of the Ministry of Mines carried out 13,085 m of drilling and 566 m of developmental mining in August, 2005, against monthly targets of 12,670 m and 460 m respectively.
MECL, during the period April-August, 2005 carried out 71,391 m of drilling and 3,160 m of developmental mining against the targets of 65,340 m and 2,380 m respectively and against 64,828 m drilling and 2,537 m of developmental mining during the same period last year.
