The Prime Minister, Dr Manmohan Singh, received messages of greetings from President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, Vice-President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat, UPA Chairperson and Congress president, Ms. Sonia Gandhi and several other political leaders, Cabinet Ministers, Governors and Chief Ministers on the occasion of his 73rd birthday.
The Prime Minister was greeted at South Block by the entire PMO staff. Representatives of all sections of the PMO staff greeted him with bouquets of flowers.
