The Ministry of Human Resource Development has appointed the Central Public Information Officers (CPIOs) in respect of Department of Secondary and Higher Education.
As required under the provision of Section 5 (2) of the Right to Information (RTI) Act, 2005, the Department of Secondary and Higher Education has designated all Directors/Deputy Secretaries/equivalent level Officers as Central Public Information Officers (CPIOs) in respect of work being handled by them. The Order to this effect was issued on September 22, 2005 and the same is available on the website of the Department.
Joint Secretaries concerned with the Department will act as Appellate Authorities under Section 19 (1) of the Act, in respect of order passed by respective CPIOs’ functioning under them.
