Following yesterday’s talks between the Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh and the 5-member All Party Hurriyat Conference delegation led by Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, the Home Ministry has initiated the process of reviewing all cases of those held under detention and has accordingly advised the Government of Jammu and Kashmir to examine the cases and make their recommendations at the earliest for the consideration of the Joint Screening Committee.
. The Union Home Secretary Shri V.K. Duggal has indicated that the process of review will be completed in a time bound manner, as desired by the Prime Minister.
