General Hajime Massaki, Chairman Joint Staff Council, Japanese Self Defence Forces called on the Minister of State for Defence Shri B K Handique here today. General Massaki also called on the three Service Chiefs separately.
Earlier, he laid a wreath at Amar Jawan Jyoti and was subsequently given a ceremonial guard of honour at South Block lawns. General Massaki arrived here yesterday.
The Japanese General alongwith his wife and a three-member delegation is on a five-day visit to India at the invitation of Chairman, Chief of Staffs Committee and Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Arun Prakash. The visiting dignitary is also scheduled to visit various defence establishments at Udhampur, Agra and Mumbai.
