The number of foreign companies registered in India is 135 at present. The largest number of 22 companies is from Singapore. The USA has 19 companies working in India and Japan 13. The United Kingdom with 11 companies is on the 4th position followed by Hong Kong – 10, South Korea – 7, Germany and Italy – 5 each, France, Malaysia and Russia – 4 each, Australia and China – 3 each and Canada, Cayman Islands, Israel, the Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan and Thailand – 2 each. The other foreign companies working in India are from Belgium, British Virgin Island, Finland, Iran, Luxembourg, Norway, Poland, Portugal and Spain – 1 each.
