The first BIMSTEC Energy Ministers’ Conference is being held in New Delhi on Tuesday. It will be preceded by a senior energy officers meeting tomorrow. All the BIMSTEC member countries have confirmed that the high level delegation of their countries will participate in the meeting. BIMSTEC is a sub-regional economic cooperation grouping which was formed in Bangkok in June 1997 and includes among its members Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Myanmar, Nepal Sri Lanka and Thailand.
