On review of the current borrowing requirements of the Government of India, it has been decided in consultation with Reserve bank of India to cancel the auction of dated security scheduled for October 18-25, 2005 for an amount of Rs.4,000 crore.
It may be recalled that the Indicative Market Borrowing Calender October-March 2005-2006 dated September 19, 2005 provided for issuance of dated securities of 14-19 year maturity amounting to Rs.4,000 crore during October 18-25, 2005.
