baalu approves national highway improvement works in madhya pradesh

The Union Minister of Shipping, Road Transport and Highways, Thiru T. R. Baalu has approved road improvement works on various National Highway sections in the State of Madhya Pradesh at a total cost of about Rs. 23 crore (Rs.2386.21 lakh).

The approval has been granted for the following works on NHs in Madhya Pradesh: An amount of Rs. 192.91 lakh has been approved under Improvement of Riding Quality Programme (IRQP) in km 164/6 to 166/4 of NH-86 Ext. under NH division Sagar in M.P. IRQP and Widening of Road also been approved in 300 m in km 145 to 153 and 163 to 167/2 of NH-78 at a cost of Rs. 291.79 lakh under NH division Shahdol (Katni-Gumla Road) in the State. Selectecd stretches to be improved under IRQP in km 407 to 409 and 417 to 426A of NH-3 (Agra-Mumbai Road) under NH division Biora, MP at a cost of Rs.420.99 lakh.

Approval has also been granted for Construction of CD (Cross-Drainage) works in km 151 to 180 and 193 to 203 of NH-69 at a cost of Rs. 196.67 lakh and Km.182 to 192 and 205 to 257/4 of NH-69 at a cost of Rs. 470.72 lakh under NH division, Betul (Bhopal-Nagpur Road), Madhya Pradesh.

Further, nine Road repair works have also been approved under Periodical Renewal works at a cost of Rs. 813.13 lakh on various sections of NH-3, NH-7, NH-12, NH-27 and NH-86 in the State.
