Foreign tourist arrivals in the country till August this year has registered an increase of 15.6%. During the period 2378682 foreign tourists visited the country while the number was 2057327 during the corresponding period of last year. Foreign exchange earnings, in rupees term, also recorded the growth of 21.1% during January-August, 05. Total earnings during the period was Rs. 16532.92 crore.
