The Defence Minister Shri Pranab Mukherjee left New Delhi today for a three day visit to North East to review the security scenario there. During his tour Shri Mukherjee will visit Headquarters Eastern Command at Kolkata, Headquarters 3 Corps at Rangpahar near Dimapur, Nagaland, Leimakong near Imphal in Manipur, Aizwal, Headquarters 4 Corps at Tezpur and Tawang.
The Minister will address troops at Leimakong and Tawang. He will also fly over some forward posts in Arunachal Pradesh. Shri Mukherjee will inaugurate an Army Recruitment Office in Aizwal.
