The Regional Benches of the Company Law Board (CLB) passed orders regarding payment of deposits to altogether 40 applicants under the relevant Sections of the Companies Act, 1956 and the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934 in July 2004. Under other Sections of the Companies Act, they disposed of 440 applications. Also, 266 complaints were satisfactorily settled by the Investor Protection Cell during the same period.
