The Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh, met the President, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, at Rashtrapati Bhavan today. The meeting lasted for about 40 minutes.
The Prime Minister briefed the President about his recently concluded visit to the United Kingdom and the United Nations as also his address to the UN General Assembly. He also briefed the President about the fruitful discussions he had with world leaders including U.S. President George Bush, Pakistan President General Parvez Musharraf and Prime Minister Tony Blair of U.K. The President’s visit to Tanzania and South Africa and action points arising out of the visit also figured during the discussion.
