The Prime Minister, Dr. Manmohan Singh has condoled the demise of former Chief Minister of Orissa, Shri Nilamani Routray.
In a message, the Prime Minister said, “I am shocked to learn about the demise of Shri Nilamani Routray, today morning at the S.C.B. Medical College, Cuttack.
Shri Routray was a great patriot, democrat and an outstanding leader who contributed substantially to public life throughout his long political career. His contributions to the State of Orissa as Chief Minister and as a Legislator will always be cherished by the people of Orissa.
I convey condolences to the bereaved family and pray that the soul of Shri Routray may rest in peace.”
