The President has accepted the resignation of Shri Justice Om Prakash Verma (Retd.) as Governor of Punjab. The President is pleased to appoint Dr. A.R. Kidwai, Governor of Haryana to discharge the functions of the Governor of Punjab and also the Administrator of the Union Territory of Chandigarh in addition to his own duties.
