Indian Railways have embarked on increasing the number of Pay and Use toilets at stations to ensure their cleanliness and hygienic maintenance. For this, the existing toilets are being converted into Pay and Use ones.
At present, Pay and Use toilet facility is available at more than 400 stations.
The Railways have more than 8000 stations. Introduction of Pay and Use toilets forms part of the ongoing drive for all round environmental cleanliness and user satisfaction
