Major General Kuldip Singh Sindhu takes over the appointment of Director General Resettlement, Ministry of Defence today. The General Officer is an alumnus of St Georges College, Mussoorie and subsequently graduated from the National Defence Academy, Kharakvasla and later from the Indian Military Academy, Dehradun. He was thereafter commissioned into the Poona Horse, one of the illustrious Regiment of the Armoured Corps. The General Officer is a Post Graduate of the prestigious Defence Services Staff College, Wellington and has held various illustrious appointments during his 37 year career, including Command of an Armoured Regiment, an Infantry Brigade and an Infantry Division. He also held the post of Defence Attaché in an Indian Embassy in the Middle East, besides holding an important instructional appointment in Higher Command Wing, Mhow. Prior to this new assignment, the General Officer was the Managing Director of the Ex-servicemen Contributory Health Scheme, Army Headquarters.
