Dr. Rakesh Mohan, presently Deputy Governor, Reserve Bank of India has been appointed Secretary, Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance in place of Shri D.C. Gupta retiring on 31st October, 2004. The Appointment Committee of the Cabinet today approved the posting of Dr. Rakesh Mohan.
