Arjuna awardees, ex-shooter Major RVS Rathore and equestrian Capt Rajesh Pattu were felicitated by the Chairman of Chief of Staff Committee, Air Chief Marshal S Krishnaswamy at the Combined Commander’s Conference in New Delhi today. They were awarded trophies and Rs. 25000 each.
Olympian hockey player Naiv Subedar Ignace Tirkey was adjuged as the best sportsman for the year 2003-04. He also received the trophy and cash award of Rs. 20,000. The Deputy Chief of Army Staff Lt Gen JBS Yadav received the overall Sports Championship Trophy on behalf of the Army Red.
