The Union Cabinet on Wednesday gave its approval for the creation of the post of Adviser for Manipur affairs in the Ministry of Home Affairs, in the grade of Additional Secretary. The Adviser will be responsible for taking up appropriate decisions expeditiously with a view to improve the law and order situation and contain the insurgency in the State of Manipur.
