National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO), a public sector undertaking of the Ministry of Coal & Mines has recently introduced e-payment services in its corporate office at Bhubaneswar. The e-payment is basically a payment mechanism, where payment is released through electronic medium, without any physical document. The payment is released by direct credit to the bank account of the payee.
Arrangement has been made to release the e-payment through SBI Online, under which the payment can be released to the employees as well as to the parties having account with SBI e-enabled branches. For those having no account with SBI e-enabled branches, e-payment can be made under electronic facilities of RBI available at 15 designated places.
