The total value of mineral production covering metalliferrous and industrial minerals but excluding fuel, atomic and minor minerals in August, 2004 has been estimated at Rs.651 crore against Rs.509 crore during the same month of the previous year. The total value of these minerals during July 2004 was estimated at Rs.727 crore.
