Inspector Jalinder Ramane, attached to Agripada Police
Staion had questioned a man over the possession of an
illegal firearm.When Firoze Mullah visited Agripada
police station along with his lawyer Sayyed Wajid Hussain,
Ramane demanded a sum of Rs. 50,000/- to hush up the
case. After negotiations, the deal was struck for Rs.22000/-.
But aggreived Mullah on 10th. Oct.05, lodged a complaint
with the Anti-Corruption Bureau. Accordingly, a trap
was laid and Ramane was arrested red handed while accepting
the bribe amount of Rs. 22,000 on 10th october, 2005
