“Techmart India 2004” was inaugurated here today by Shri Mahabir Prasad, Union Minister for Small Scale Industries and Agro & Rural Industries.
The National Small Industries Corporation has organized 12th International Technology Fair – “Techmart India 2004” from 14-27 November 2004 at Hall No. 14, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi coinciding with IITF 2004.
“Techmart India 2004” will be center stage for those associated with the small sector and interested in keeping abreast with the latest technological developments in the Indian small sector. It would assist small enterprises to market their product and services and help large companies and buyers to identify SMEs in becoming their ancillaries, partners in joint ventures and sub-contracting.
This year, a new dimension of Sectoral approach has been added to the display profile of the exhibition, emphasis therefore is laid on sector specific products and technologies like leather & leather products, agro & food processing, ceramic & glass, pharmaceutical & chemical, bio-technology, low cost building material, auto components, information technology, light engineering & machine tools etc. There are more than 160 SSI units displaying their competency in different range of products and is attracting large response both business-wise and visitors-wise.
