Indian Railways have decided to make available items of daily use like tooth paste, brush, soap strips, band aids and non-prescription medicines on sale from pantry cars of Mail and Express trains.
To begin with, such items will be made available on sale in important trains like Rajdhani Express.
Later, items of daily use will be made available for sale in other trains as well to meet the requirements of passengers.
Decision to make items of daily use available for sale to passengers on board the trains is intended to provide additional amenities besides satisfaction to the rail users.
