The Union Cabinet today ratified the agreement regarding the establishment of a Joint Commission of Cooperation between India and Norway.

The Agreement was signed on July 6, 2004 between Shri K. Natwar Singh, External Affairs Minister and H.E. Mr. Jan Petersen, Foreign Minister of Norway, during the latter’s visit to India. It shall continue to be in force, unless either country terminates the Agreement by giving six months prior notice in writing. The Agreement will not be interpreted to the detriment of other similar agreements between India and Norway nor any other international obligations of the two countries.
