A delegation led by the Home Minister of Singapore, Shri Wong Kan Seng called on the Home Minister Shri Shivraj Patil here today and discussed bilateral security-related issues between the two countries. Both sides discussed various aspects of possible areas of mutual cooperation in tackling organized crime and terrorism of transnational nature. Linkages of terrorist organizations in the region and their modus operandi including the funding aspect was also discussed. Both sides desired that security related issues of common interest be discussed further in the forthcoming bilateral deliberations. Both sides also agreed to expedite signing of Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty in Criminal Matters.
