Gold production in the country has been 872.685 Kgs. in the month of September, 2004 against a target of 777.879 Kgs. Out of this Hutti Gold Mines Limited (HGML) has produced 299.685 kgs. and Hindalco Industries Limited (HINDALCO) 573 kgs. The cumulative production of gold from April to September 2004 has been 4,615.433 kgs. against 4,148.783 kgs. during the same period last year. HGML produces gold from the ore and HINDALCO produces as a by-product while producing copper.
