The Union Cabinet today extended the term of Justice Mukherjee Commission for another six months beyond November 14, 2004.
The Commission was set under Justice M.K. Mukherjee, retired Judge of the Supreme Court, on May 14, 1999 to inquire into the alleged disappearance of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.
The Cabinet also approved that no further extension will be given to Commission beyond this extension and the Commission would have to complete and submit its report within this period.
