Indian Railways have planned to provide with electrical points for charging cellular phones and laptop computers in all air conditioned coaches within a time frame of one year.
So far, 500 air conditioned coaches have been fitted with such points.
Later, such facilities will be provided in Sleeper Classes as well.
This is intended to provide customer satisfaction in tune with the emerging globalization of Indian economy and phenomenal expansion of telecommunications.
