Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) successfully test-fired the 350 km range Dhanush missile yesterday from INS Subhadra along the east coast. The missile is capable of carrying both conventional and nuclear warhead. The launch was jointly conducted by the crew of INS Subhadra and the DRDO.
The test-fired missile Dhanush, is a naval version of Prithvi, developed by DRDO and manufactured by M/s Bharat Dynamics Limited.
The missile performed as per design projections and achieved all mission parameters in respect of accuracy and range.
