Taking into account all relevant factors, the Government of India, in consultation with the Reserve Bank of India, has decided to cancel the auction of dated security for Rs.5000 crore to be held during November 16-24, 2004. It may be recalled that as per the indicative calendar for issue of Government securities released on September 20, 2004, the Government of India had scheduled one auction for Rs.5000 crore during the period of November 16-24, 2004.
