Shri Arjun Singh, Union Minister for Human Resource Development has condoled the death of Yasser Arafat. Following is the text of condolence message:
“The passing away of Yasser Arafat signifies the end of a period of history when the Third World leaders loomed large over the international public life. He not only led a valiant struggle of Palestinian people, but also gave strength and courage to resistance movements all over the world. I am sure he will continue to inspire the freedom fighters in different societies, as also those who want to promote a just and equitable global order.”
