The Vice President, Shri Bhairon Singh Shekhawat has expressed his deep concern on the growing criminalisation of the politics. Releasing a book titled “Aadhi Sadi Ka Safar” authored by senior journalist and News Editor of Punjab Kesari, Shri Mahendra Khanna here today, Shri Shekhawat said that the serious problems and important issues concerning the nation should be discussed in a positive manner in the Parliament and the State Assemblies so that the legislature can play it’s active role in the poverty eradication and development of the nation.
Shri Shekhawat said that we will have to seriously consider holding together the Parliament polls and State Assemblies polls. Frequent polls affect the efficiency of the administration and a large chunk of nation’s resources is not used properly. Holding polls together may have some initial problems but if all political parties show their will power then it will not be difficult to find a solution, he added.
Earlier, Shri Mahendra Khanna said that the book contains his writings on various historic events during the last 50 years of his career as a Journalist.
