The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the following appointments:
Shri Surinder Kumar Arora, a 1971 batch IAS Officer of the Andrhra Pradesh Cadre, presently Additional Secretary, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting has been posted as Secretary in the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting in place of Shri Navin B. Chawla, IAS (AGMU:69) on his appointment as Election Commissioner, Election Commission of India.
Smt. Renuka Viswanathan, IAS (KN:71), presently Adviser, Planning Commission has been re-notified in her present post in the rank and pay of Secretary by upgrading the post.
